At Heathfield, we believe in building foundations within our local community to encourage our girls to participate as citizens. As part of the girls’ development, and to enhance their leadership skills, we have built links with sections of the community. We also have a partnership with Alexandra Special School in Harrow, revolving around swimming and other extra-curricular activities.
Activities range from organising Christmas parties, reading partnerships, sharing facilities, Remembrance Day, Year 5 Arts Day, Year 6 PE Workshop Day, Prep Schools Music Day, Maths Master Classes, art displays and coffee mornings for senior citizens.
Most importantly, our sports facilities and swimming pool are available for use out of hours through a club membership scheme. From 2008, our Sixth Form students will take part in a programme of community service and voluntary work.
