A spectacular performance by Chinese dragons was the grand finale in this unique weekend event in which students from the UK and China developed their creative, leadership and teamwork skills in a pioneering independent/state school partnership.
The Summer School involved 60 Sixth Form students of both sexes from six GDST schools and seven HSBC-supported schools in an innovative independent-state school partnership, sponsored by the HSBC Education Trust.
Sue Bridgett, who leads the Summer School team, said: “This was a unique event and a great opportunity for students to learn to work together, to learn leadership skills and teamwork and appreciate everyone’s individual input.”
